We are pleased to assist our valued client with their recruitment for a Fabricator Welder.
Hours and Days.
Alternating 4 day, 37 hour week shifts Monday - Thursday one week, followed by Tuesday to Friday the next week.
Days 1,2 & 3: 06:45am to 17:00pm {9¾ hours}
(Tea break - 10 minutes - morning only,
Meal Break 12:30pm to 13:00pm unpaid)
Day 4: 06:45am to 15:00pm {7¾ hours}
(Tea break - 10 minutes - morning only,
Meal Break 12:30pm to 13:00pm unpaid)

To support Welding and Materials department manager to execute the fabrication and production welding by MAG and TIG process of various safety critical light, medium, heavy carbon and stainless-steel fabricated structures and occasional pressure pipework directly from engineering drawings and verbal instructions and assist in developing safe and effective fabrication methods.
MAG welding in carbon and stainless-steel tube / pipe between approx. Ø20mm - Ø200mm
TIG welding of carbon and stainless-steel joints.
TIG welding in carbon and stainless-steel pipework between approx. Ø20mm - Ø200mm
MAG welding in carbon and stainless steel thin and heavy gauge butt weld plates.
Use of hand and power tools for fabrication preparation and processing of materials.
Use of lifting equipment and cranes.
Fabrication of safety critical assemblies.
Welding quality inspection.
Use of thermal heating and cutting equipment.
