Laboratory Cleaner

Part time - 18 hours a week -

To contribute to the running of the research centre by cleaning Laboratory Glassware and tidying and cleaning the research laboratory.

Main Duties include;
Clean Laboratory Glassware and other items to the high standard required for scientific work (using glassware washer or cleaning by hand).

Assist with clearing of Laboratories and putting away items.

Cleaning work tops and equipment as directed by technical/research staff

Empty specialist waste bins and containers and remove to appropriate processing point in accordance with guidance and instructions provided.

Replenish discarded items

Also other duties within the scope of the job title.

The candidate must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions when undertaking routine cleaning duties.

Work flexibly and prioritise tasks as required.

Have self organisation skills.

Able to contribute effectively as part of a team to support others in ensuring satisfactory completion of tasks.
