Thefutureworks have an exciting new opportunity supporting the Finance Banking Operations Team at Coventry University to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team for 6 months.

The post holder will support the development of the banking function and processes while ensuring that robust financial controls are adhered to.

This a temporary role until the end of December, based in Coventry City Centre and is full time 37.5 hours per week

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

* Accurately post all income and expenditure received within the University and subsidiary company's bank accounts on a timely basis and in accordance with the month and year-end timetables.
* Reconcile data at month-end and year-end, including reconciliations of bank accounts and unidentified income using Income Manager and the general ledger.
* Respond to enquiries from staff and students via email and telephone regarding the payment of fees and outstanding balances in a timely basis
* Assist with the administration of the on-line payment facility and liaise with colleagues to ensure that income is correctly recorded and allocated.
* To provide excellent service throughout the year, including enrolment times dealing with students and their banking enquiries.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

* Work experience in an accounting or finance role
* Experience of working with high volume bank accounts and large databases
* A high level of expertise within Microsoft Office particularly Excel
* The ability to communicate with people at different levels and provide a consistent level of service

Other Information:

Full time hours 0830 - 1700 Mon - Fri with one hour lunch break
6 month assignment with Permanent work opportunities
