RoleLocation North Coventry Role: Safety Operations Assistant Department: Health, Safety & Security Reports to: Health & Safety Manager / Stadium Safety Officer Salary: Up to £20,000 Working hours: To be agreed but including weekend and evenings as necessary Role Description Working for the Health & Safety Manager / Safety Officer this exciting role is to provide logistical, administration and practical support in an extremely busy and rapidly expanding sport, entertainment and business venue. The position will allow the right person to grow their skills and knowledge in a wide safety field including Occupational Health & Safety plus Crowd and Spectator safety. Training will be given to the right candidate in Health & Safety Management allowing for personal development. Responsibilities * Provide administration support including: o Filing o Producing reports o Meeting organisation o Training organisation o Minute taking and production * Undertake Safety Audits using pre-determined templates * Produce documentation for event and matchday safety positions * Liaison with other departments to ensure cohesive safety arrangements * Collation and uploading of documentation and liaison with external contractors as part of the Pre-Qualification safety process * Maintain databases * Provide logistical support as necessary including equipment maintenance and supply * Recording and maintaining accident records * Attend meetings both internal and external * Other duties as necessary to fulfil the role Skills / Knowledge / Experience Requirements Essential * Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint. * Excellent communication skills * Ability to work flexibly * Attention to detail Desirable * Health & Safety qualification * First aid qualification * Experience in a crowd safety environment * SIA Qualification * Driving Licence Behaviours * Extremely well organised * Ability to work on own initiative * Good team player * Positive work ethic - often role may need to work long hours * Remain calm in stressful situations
