Accounts Assistant/Purchase Ledger
England, West Midlands, Coventry - £24,000 - £26,000 per annum

We are pleased to assist our long-term client with their recruitment for an Accounts Assistant to join their Accounts department, excellent opportunities and working in a friendly environment.

The role of Accounts Assistant requires a person who is used to working within a very busy accounts transactional role, good attention to detail, used to using ERP systems and at least intermediate level in Excel.
Accounts Assistant duties to include:
* Purchase Ledger
o Manage and maintain Purchase Ledger
o Ensure all purchase invoices are approved and cleared through the ERP system
o Reconcile supplier statements
o Reconcile goods received not yet invoiced
o Ensure documentation is kept to support year end audit
o Respond to supplier queries and resolve outstanding issues
o Manage uploads to Trade Finance partner.
o Control Pro-Forma payments and clear with VAT invoices
* Cash
o Responsible for petty cash and related journals
o Daily cash book posting ensuring agrees to bank
o Bank account reconciliations including invoice financing and trade finance
o Raising Purchase ledger and non-purchase ledger payments
o Issuing remittance advices as necessary
o Ensure documentation is kept to support year end audit
o Maintaining Standing Orders and Direct debits
