Coventry City Centre
12 months
Salary £31,083 - £39,333 per annum

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Web Content and Social Media Manager to join a large organisation based in Coventry City Centre on a 12 month interim contract. This role will support the Head of Digital with developing and implementing the web content, social media and multimedia strategy and plan.

Responsibilities include
*Ensuring that website information is up-to-date, accurate and appropriately written for the medium at all times
*Managing the digital content team to deliver content projects that are aligned to corporate/marketing targets but which also capture the student voice.
*Approving all organic and paid for content ensuring that tone of voice is correct and that the copy suits the purpose
*Leading and managing the content presented on the University website and across other digital channels to develop and support the brand
*Liaising directly with our development agency to ensure that any website bugs are fixed and that all development work is delivered on time and within budget
*Liaising with other internal teams and external suppliers to ensure we deliver the best possible content using the right technology
*Support the Head of Digital in setting strategy and creating delivery plans

Essential Criteria
*Demonstrable track record of digital marketing across channels
*Evidence of commercial writing and editing for the web
*Knowledge of CMS systems
*Understanding and experience of implementing social media advertising
*Knowledge of multimedia principles and techniques (hands-on skills not required)
*Strong attention to detail
*Creative flair and ability to generate ideas
*Proven track record in managing staff and dealing with performance management issues
*Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the role (some evening/weekend work is required at key periods)

You will have a minimum of five years' experience in a digital role, of which at least two should be at management level. Experience working in the Higher Education sector would be advantageous
