3 Month Contract - Immediate Start

An excellent opportunity for an experienced, passionate and driven Web & Social Media Assistant to join Coventry University on a 3 month contract.

The role will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive web content provision and the development and implementation of a social media. In addition, this role will be working across the Faculty and Faculty Research Centres to disseminate, through web and social media channels, new stories and other content. A key activity is the ability to contribute and work effectively across a number of teams to contribute and enhance the web and social media presence for the Faculty.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
*Implement a digital content plan for the Faculty. To meet KPI's and agreed success factors for the web and social media activities. To monitor engagement (hits, likes, comments, type of audience, etc.) and adjust projects in light of the results.
*To enhance the profile and recruitment of the Faculty by sourcing and writing content for the website, social media and other forms of marketing materials.
*To develop planned social media content for the Faculty and provide social media and digital content support for events as required.
*To develop a network of contributors to support the production of content for both the web and social media.
*Liaise closely with the Faculty academic and professional services staff, to effectively communicate to internal and external audiences' successes, achievements and the ethos of the Faculty.
*To train relevant staff in conjunction with the digital team to build and maintain webpages to a high standard and to oversee and monitor the production of these pages.

Person Specification:
*Educated to a graduate level, ideally with a Marketing/Communications/ Business or English focused qualification.
*Experience of setting up and maintaining website, social media and/or online platforms.
*Experience and understanding of URL structure and redirects.
*Experience of liaising with staff, students, suppliers and professional bodies.
*Demonstrable proven experience of working in a dedicated marketing environment.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
*Polite and well presented - the role may attend high-profile events to provide online/social media support.
*An excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Facebook, Twitter and other enterprise technologies/online
*Delivering social media and online solutions for a complex organisation.
*EPiServer or other CMS and Social Media experience
*A good team player and able to fit in and work at all levels.
*Excellent communication skills including an excellent telephone manner, and excellent oral and written communications
*Ability to work flexibly
*Able to deliver results with minimum supervision
*Keen to enhance own skill set and develop within the Faculty.
