Hours of work: 07.30 -16.30 Friday 07.30-12.30
Reports to:Group Leader
Education
Must be computer literate.
Experience:Previous experience within a machining or manufacturing environment.
Previous Planning &/or experience desirable.
Experience of Lean manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of problem solving tools.
Experience of MRP / ERP systems.
Previous experience with ISO 9001 / TS 16949.
Job Purpose / Objectives:
*Ensure Data integrity is maintained throughout the system- Planning/ Purchasing Parameters
*Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and customers
*Entry of customer orders and communication of acknowledged dates
*Executing the ERP system recommendations for Production plans and Procurement
*Procuring to ensure continual improvement of the ORDER FULFILMENT process
*Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company's organisational structure.
*Ensure all scheduled tasks- relating to the planning and procurement function within Syteline ERP are completed in a timely fashion
*Supporting the Group Leaders in the short and medium term Capacity planning.
*Support the reduction of Customer arrears and improve the internal job Order completion levels.
*Support Business adherence to ISO TS16949 quality management system requirements.
*Support Business adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
Job Responsibilities and Major Activities / Tasks:
*Lead planning and procurement activities with Syteline.
*Create standard operation instructions to ensure continuity can be maintained.
*Create in a timely fashion the demand profile for internal and externally sourced items to support the business' On time in Full (OTIF) Delivery objectives
*Expedite the delivery from external sources of all materials required for the manufacture of products
*Maintain the Planning information pertinent to each Work Centre- shift pattern, exceptions etc.
*In conjunction with the Purchasing team review the performance of suppliers and target the reduction of inventory levels- whilst maintaining the above service levels
*Support the internal Engineering Change (ECN) Process in relation to both purchase and procured parts.
*Customer information maintained to enable the consistent flow of information
