Research Support Administrator

We are currently looking for a professional individual to join my client's research department, providing and supporting with professional administration on the day to day basis.

Main duties and responsibilities:
*You will be dealing with enquiries on the day to day basis either by person, by telephone or email for both external and internal stakeholders; providing advice and guidance where appropriate.
*Provide a wide variety of administrative support as required including monitoring of income and expenditure, raising invoices, using Agresso, administration of procurement and budget tracking needed to maintain effective contract and purchasing control.
*You will be representing your department by providing support as required across the whole area of research administration, including support at meetings and visits.
*Draft and word process various documents including presentations, papers and reports and any other documents required.
*Provide any other general administrative support as required.

Experience:
*You will need to possess sound administrative experience gained working within a research or an education sector.
*Minuting meetings and servicing committees.
*Experience of diary management.
*Significant experience of using Microsoft Office and a variety of software packages and computerised management information system.
*Demonstrable experience of data handling including data collection, input to electronic systems, analyzing, interpreting and producing reports.

The Candidate:
*Ability to work to your own initiative and work autonomously whilst still contributing as member of the team.
*Ability to work under pressure, priorities work, co-ordinate and manage complex activities to meet deadlines.
*Excellent and effective organisational and time management skills.
*Must be able to demonstrate initiative and diplomacy with a variety of clients.
*Excellent customer care, written and oral communication skills.
