Due to continued growth and expansion, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing Assistant to join Coventry University's prestigious Academic Partnership Unit on a twelve month contract.

As Business Development Marketing Assistant you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of marketing and student recruitment to designated partner institutions around the world: In Asia, Europe (including the UK), Middle East and Africa. Working closely with the Business Development Manager you will provide integral business development and marketing expertise in line with planned marketing activity for the partner institutions and their recruitment objectives, ensuring delivery through the appropriate channels.

You will be responsible for the delivery, management and evaluation of multi-channel marketing activity for your partners as part of the Partnership Business Development team, in order to support the delivery of recruitment targets.

Main duties and responsibilities

*Taking strategic direction from the Business Development, you will have ownership of the delivery and implementation of integrated business development and marketing plans for a set of designated academic partner institutions.
*Work closely with the Partnership Managers and key stakeholders within the partner institution to coordinate and support such activity required for each of your partners.
*With the support of the Business Development Managers you will create, manage and report delivery of activities within the partner marketing plans including: website updates within the CMS, social media post creation and account/profile management across multiple profiles, proof reading of partner-generated collateral, developing presentations for recruitment purposes, copy-writing, email building within an email platform, obtaining quotes, briefing designers/agencies, reviewing and proofing copy and creative.
*Create and manage social media advertising, including contributing to the wider social media strategy within the Academic Partnership Unit.
*Assist in the maintenance, updating and review of the Global Study web pages on the main website
*Liaise with external agencies where necessary, and the central university marketing and communications design studio and branding teams, to ensure support and deliverables for activities are planned, completed creatively, achieve value for money and are of a high quality.
*Where required, support competitor analyses and market research for your designated partner institutions with support from the Business Development Manager and Partnership Managers, external agencies and the International Data and Insight Team (e.g. identifying information gaps; analysing recruitment trends and labour market trends; customer needs, competitor, key influencer and perceptions analyses).
*Be a Brand Guardian for the Coventry University brand in collateral used by our partners around the world, and published on our own channels.
*To support Partnership Managers and the Partnership Recruitment Officer in the coordination of activities in preparation of overseas visits and events, including advertising, website updates and other activity as required.
*Manage and co-ordinate key business development and marketing projects as required.
*Provide marketing and advertising recommendations and guidance to overseas partners and internal stakeholders as required.
*To manage the delivery of marketing collateral from the point of design through to logistics of delivery
*AND such other duties as are within the scope and spirit of the job purpose, the title of the post and its grading.

Person Specification:

This role is ideal for an experienced Account Executive or Account Manager from an agency Account Management or Client Services background, looking for a step between agency and client-side marketing, or a client-side marketer with a minimum of 2 year's experience, seeking an increased level of responsibility and ownership of small, dedicated projects.
You will have:
*Educated to undergraduate degree level plus 1-2 year's experience in an integrated or digital marketing role,
*OR minimum of 3 years professional marketing experience
*Experience working in an integrated or digital marketing agency
*Experience in digital and offline marketing channels including PPC and Social media
*Experience in social media content creation and management
*Experience of copy-writing for social media, email, websites (short-form copy writing)
*Business level fluency in a European language, or Cantonese would be advantageous
*Experience working in an integrated or digital marketing agency

*Experience in managing integrated campaigns across multiple social media channels

*Excellent communication skills, including high standards of written communication, grammar and spelling.
