Description:
Our client, a leading independent Research & Technology Organisation, are currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist Apprentice Trainer to train cohorts of apprentices with the fundamentals of manual machining. Areas of delivery are Milling, Turning and Hand Fitting with the flexibility to support other unit delivery as required. Desirable skills for this are CNC and CAD.
Key Responsibilities:
*Delivery of high quality and engaging training for Milling, Turning and Hand Fitting to apprentices through the current advanced manufacturing trailblazer standards
*Learning content creation and development of apprenticeship schemes-of-work
*Identifying and coordinating the interrogating of relevant existing training offers from industry partners into the apprenticeship scheme of work
*Liaising with personnel, including but not limited to Engineering Technicians and Research Engineers to ensure the apprenticeship programme continues to meet the businesses vision whilst ensuring synergies are realised
Skills and Qualifications:
*Industry related qualifications such as HND, or NVQ's
*Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above
*If you have experience in delivering training solutions to the wider engineering sector (employer funded programmes / placements) that would be beneficial
*CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications are desirable
*Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification - desirable
*Internal Quality Assurance qualifications - desirable
*IOSH Managing Safely - desirable
*BIT Level 2 Qualification
