Machine Tool Design Engineer
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Machine Tool Design Engineer to join a dynamic ambitious and fast paced company. Working on new and exciting projects, you will be responsible for the mechanical design of machinery used for various customers and companies around the globe. This will include
* Designing multi-axial (up to 28 axes) mechanical systems and mechanical components, being a key part of the complete product development, suggesting new ideas and areas for improvement based on your experience.
* Conceptual design of linear slide ways, assemblies, and rotary components required for the machine builds in progress
* 2D detailing of all designs and assemblies required for the machine build
* Creation and management of BOMS
* Management and control of the drawing register
* Implementation of design solutions to existing designs
* Up-issue control of designs
* Liaison with external suppliers/ clients to ensure design feasibility and requirements are fully met
* Specification of materials to ensure they meet the design requirements

You must be qualified to a least degree level in a mechanical engineering discipline, with at least 3 years industry experience. Proficient use in the following : PTC Creo Parametric (other packages may be considered), designing complex moving mechanical parts, Design data management software knowledge CSI - DesignDataManager (DDM), Windchill or Intralink and engineering drawing practices is required. DFMEA, FMEA experience and strong IT skills are essential. Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills with the ability to integrate within a small team.

Salary 24-50k depending on experience
