Temporary International Data Analyst / Management Information Assistant

Interview Date: 6th August 2015
Start date: 11th August 2015
Assignment Duration:Initial period, 6 months
Pay rate £10.36 per hour, plus £1.25 per hour
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00 with one hour lunch

Data Analyst with analytical skills in Microsoft Excel is required to support the International Office Insight and Data Team.

You should be able to query and maintain databases and the ability to analyse organise and present numerical data. This experience can come from some commercial experience or academically such as statistical / data experience from a numerical degree. The main criterion is that you have an analytical mind, be proficient in Excel and have excellent communication skills.

As a Data Analyst, you will be a highly numerical and analytical individual. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to have excellent and demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel. You will be a personable individual, who is passionate about data, comfortable in asking questions, with strong work ethic.

MAIN DUTIES:
"Provide QA and process numerical data
"Extensive use of Excel
"Produce and distribute numerical reports and graphical outputs
"Consolidate and analyse the data, conducting rigorous integrity and quality checks on the data and the results looking particularly at discrepancies in data patterns
"Complete draft customer facing reports interpreting the results of your output in clear business terms

"Experience within data analysis (data matching, interpretation, number crunching) though this can come from your Degree or commercial work experience
"Essential - Numerate degree or equivalent
"Essential - Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel
"Essential - Analytical skills and an interest in business metrics
"Confidence, strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with complex numerical data
"Ability to organise data in a logical and efficient manner

You will join a team of 3 people in our Insight and Data Team to work on a number of analytical projects and reports. You must have excellent analysis ability, be able to come up with ideas and you will be involved in the decision making process.
