Hydraulic Hose Technician
England, West Midlands, Coventry - £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Description:
Our client has a new opening for a Hydraulic Hose Service Technician based in Coventry, this central role will be to provide a professional Hose Integrity management service to customers on their sites, and provide a key role to the development of this new program. This role will be to support sales of replacement hydraulic hose assemblies through this hose inspection service.

Van, Mobile and all accommodation paid upfront and arranged onsite, mainly office based hours Monday to Friday with a large proportion of the clients based in the Midlands area.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
When this role is being undertaken competently, i.e. after induction and any role-specific training, the post holder will: -

* Demonstrate a pro-active approach to developing the hose integrity management service, through actively following up leads & enquiries generated through the Fluid Power application engineers and the wider company network.
* Candidates will be expected to promote sales of core FP products
* Works closely with the EMS / FP App Engineer/ PBU
* Extend the Hose Integrity management concept from the pilot phase to market introduction
* Good manual dexterity and physical ability within a customer manufacturing environment
* Produce monthly KPI's in-line with PBU /EMS, specifically no of quotations, conversion rate.
* Assist with product knowledge transfer to new employee's and peers, and on-going development of the Hose Integrity Management program
* Support regional / PBU initiatives and IS operations
* Comply with policies and procedures, legal obligations, Health & Safety requirements, produce Risk Assessments
* Uphold and promote ERIKS/SHV Values & Philosophy
* Attend training courses internally & externally, including BFPA courses

* Identifies and organizes resources needed to accomplish tasks, especially managing stock on the mobile van
* Focuses on customer needs and satisfaction, producing hose condition surveys to a high standard and within time restraints.
* Sets high standards, monitors routine maintenance requirements for the mobile van
* Ensures the mobile the van is kept clean and tidy, in line with company procedure
* Works in a systematic way, managing procedural & technical updates
* Candidate is expected to maintain the highest level of health and safety practices and to comply fully with our customers' requirements, including mandatory PPE equipment


Experience
* Has a proven record in the MRO environment for hydraulic systems
* Confident in identifying hose assemblies which need changing within guidelines
* Ability to understand the basics of a hydraulic systems and the implications of replacing hose assemblies within a manufacturing environment

* At least 4 years of Fluid Power application experience

QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED


* Specific technical, specialised or professional know-how needed
Knowledge of Fluid Power products, markets and their applications

* Technical skills required
Good understanding of technical / engineering applications, techniques and terminology, and experience with Hydraulics, is desirable and gain through working industrial plant

* Minimum vocational/academic qualifications required
Modern technical or commercial apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or
Equivalent

* Full UK driving licence
