Our client, a leading independent Research & Technology Organisation, are currently recruiting for an Engineering Training Officer to embed the right skills, knowledge and behaviours in Apprentices, Engineering Technicians and STEM Graduates, in order to meet the current and future needs of the High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Sector. This role does have the possibility of some overseas travel from time to time.
Key Responsibilities:
*Delivery of theme based, high-quality and engaging technical training (practical, theoretical and distance based) to Apprentices, Engineering Technicians and STEM Graduates
*Line managing, coaching and mentoring caseload of employed apprentices through their entire learning journey
*Learning content creation and development of apprenticeship Schemes-of-work
*Identifying and coordinating the integration of relevant existing training offers from industry partners into the apprenticeship scheme of work
*Liaising with personnel, including but not limited to Engineering Technicians and Research Engineers to ensure the Apprenticeship programme continues to meets the companies vision whilst ensuring synergies are realised
*Monitoring of Learner workplace Health, Safety and welfare
*Ensuring the progress of the whole caseload of Learners towards all framework components is synonymous with timely achievement by carrying out regular reviews
*Assisting the assessing of a caseload of learners in the workplace to progress towards the achievement of competence qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
*Industry related qualifications such as HND, or NVQ's
*Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above
*CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications are desirable
*Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification - desirable
*Internal Quality Assurance qualifications - desirable
*IOSH Managing Safely - desirable
*BIT Level 2 Qualification
