As Database Administrator Engineer, you'll support the day to day operation, security and delivery of our database services ensuring they're efficient, secure, optimal and aligned to our Group goals and objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
*To support the maintenance of configuration data, capacity planning, service availability and continuity for database services.
*Support the DBA Technical Specialist and as well as other system engineers within the team on day to day operations providing technical expertise.
*Take a pro-active approach in reviewing the current set up, making changes to object/data structures to evaluate alternative options.
*Monitor database activity, resource usage and component capacity.
*Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in database systems and services analysing patterns and trends taking appropriate action.

KEY SKILLS
*Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline or substantial experience in related field in lieu of the above.
*Knowledgeable within Database Administration and Database frameworks.
*Oracle & SQL experience
*Hands on DBA experience regarding health checks, maintenance, backup & recovery strategies and performance tuning
*Understanding of security within database technologies
*OLTP and data warehouse design and operations experience advantageous
*An understanding of cloud Database capabilities (Azure or AWS) advantageous
