An experienced Creative Artworker is required for Coventry University's Marketing team on three month temporary contract to deliver high quality and creative print and digital design projects across the University Group.
You will be a proactive, passionate individual with the desire to succeed and the ability to communicate and sit well within a busy studio.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
*Follow guidelines applicable to the brand identity and be responsible for the production of high quality, technically accurate and on brand artwork.
*Set up documents to brief and specification.
*Deal with technical aspects of document, such as size, bleed, printing process, CMYK/Spot, online sizes and formats.
*Have the ability to produce digital items such as banners, animated gifs, social media posts and interactive PDF's.
*Have extensive practical, agency based, experience of Apple systems and Adobe software in a similar role within an equivalent internal/external agency environment.
*Have an extensive knowledge of print production and digital methods, and of all core applications.
*Knowledge and experience of working with large corporate /departmental services/systems and procedures.
*Be knowledgeable, reliable, organised, accurate and meticulous, displaying considerable attention to detail.
*Ensure all files are filed and backed up appropriately and file naming conventions are adhered to.
*Maintain complete understanding of hardware and software and ensure housekeeping is conducted.
*You will have proven demonstrable experience of taking the design lead on complex projects and delivering from concept through to final delivery in a busy studio within a large organisation
*Experience of applying designs across a diverse range of print and digital marketing materials and working with the latest version of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign along with Microsoft Office.
*You will hold a Degree or HND/HNC/BTEC ND in Graphic Design
*Ability to work within brand values and style guidelines
*Understanding the role of design in addressing accessibility and usability issues.
*Knowledge of print processes.
*A conceptual thinker with great visualising skill and willingness to learn
*Ability to quickly understand and translate business requirements into effective creative solutions.
*Excellent attention to detail, together with excellent planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills in order to understand, interpret and present complex information in a clear and persuasive way for a wide range of audiences.
*Ability to absorb and apply constructive feedback from peers and clients.
*Tolerance, flexibility, personable with eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
*Demonstrate a positive and flexible approach to work - may involve some occasional evening/weekend working.
